Using Google Authorship to build trust with your readers

  • Using Google Authorship to build trust with your readers

Have you heard of Google's Authorship program yet? You might have noticed some author information appearing in Google search results recently. Placing verified author profile avatar and a linked byline in the search results is a feature Google launched last year. It’s a good way to distinguish your content from that of the others and help build trust with your readers. That’s why we’ve decided to implement Google Authorship on EzineMark.com.
How is this going to benefit you?
    • It makes your articles stand out – having your profile picture appear next to the search result makes it more attractive in a sea of blue and green links and adds a personal touch.
    • It helps you build your Author Rank with Google. With Author Rank, Google wants to make it easier for users to discover your content on the web. If you are consistently producing quality content, your author rank is going to increase, and therefore your articles can appear higher up the results.
    • You can generate more Google+ connections within your Circles.

Link every content you publish on EzineMark to your Google+ profile
So, do you want to display your Google+ profile picture next to the links of your EzineMark articles in search results?
It can be done in 3 simple steps:
    1. Create a Google+ Profile
Remember to upload a good, recognizable headshot and fill out some profile information such as interests, etc.
    2. Link to your EzineMark content from your Google+ profile
        On your Google+ Profile page:
    • Click Edit Profile
    3. Link your EzineMark.com account to your Google+ profile
If you have any questions about Authorship you can read more about it over at Google http://www.google.com/insidesearch/authorship.html or contact us directly.
